We had a talk from Christina Christoforou, she is a illustrator who produced a book called ‘Whose Hair’ in which Christina has illustrated pictures of celebrities hair which you can then try and guess who the hair belongs to. The book shows how famous people can be so famous that we recognise people from iconic images of them, like their hair for example.
She also showed us some of the back and forth adjustments that are made after talking to clients, and the variation of the same book for different countrys. And how certain things are expected about certain genre’s of books covers.
We discussed the many different ‘War of the Worlds’ book covers that have been produced since it was first released. We compared different countries book covers and covers that were produced a different times, we spoke about the different styles and what we liked and didn’t like with some of the cover illustrations.
