Houdini Terminology and Shortcuts

Some of the terminology used by houdini is not exactly intuitive, so I decided to look up a few of the terms I heard.

SOP – Surface Operator
SHOP – Shading Operator
COP – Composite Operator
VOP – VEX Operator
POP – Particle Operator
ROP – Render Operator

U – Takes You Back To Geo Node
W – Ficks Between Shaded mode
H – Homes View
esc – Escapes From Handels
S – For Selection
E – Scale
2 – Points
3 – Edges
4 – Geometry


This is also my prefered setup for houdini, pritty much standard houdini but with pin enabled. I can also easily swap to multi viewed look and have the mantra render on a second screen.
