Using Houdini to Model – Copy Stamp and Procedural

This is my favorite model, due to its soooo simple nature, i randomly made a rock, add a grid, scatter some points over the map…. add in a copy + stamp

using a simpt rand($PT) and stamping this onto the rock for the scale and rotation gave me an entire field full of dynamic and random rocks at the touch of a button.

To improve on this i could of added a random noise into the skin of the rock!! but they are so small it was a bit pointless….

To top it all off, in the dicing options at the obj level i addede subdivide at mantra so that when they are rendered they come out smoothed, but in the viewport appear as simple blocks.
